Bismack and his father

Today, on National COVID Day, Bismack directly addressed all his fans everywhere to explain why his return to the NBA was delayed. Last summer, Bismack’s father, Francois Biyombo, passed away from COVID, which changed Bismack’s life forever. In the video, Bismack details his father’s legacy and his family's struggle to provide him with medical care, and how Biz needed a mental break from basketball until he was fully ready to return.

After his Father’s passing, Bismack made it his mission to ensure that the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) have far better access to doctors and hospitals than his father did. On March 11, on National COVID Day, with the help of his NBA team The Phoenix Suns, Biz made an announcement that he’s donating his entire 2021-22 NBA salary for this hospital project. He asks you to help out too, if you can. You can donate here. Bismack is also inviting medical professionals worldwide to be directly involved. If you’d like to help, contact the Foundation at: info@biyombofoundation.com. Biz thanks everyone for their help, and God bless.
